Recently, we received a striking message from a client located in London, England♪
**「It is difficult to get a visa in London, but that just makes the dream bigger」 ** Today we will be talking about life and art in London.

★The City of London★

If you search on the internet, you will find a plethora of information about hot spots in London, such as Big Beg, but today we will be talking about the daily life of a typical person living there. On the outskirts, you can find some simple, modern buildings, but within the heart of the city you will find many that are at least 5 stories tall. You will find some brick red buildings, and others that a painted white, providing a refreshing atmosphere. There are no gigantic supermarkets or malls, but rather small shops where you can by fruit, treats, and other daily goods.

★Art★

All of the museums and galleries in London have free admission, aiming to provide exposure and information to all who so desire it. No matter where you go, you will find lovely arranged pieces of art around the city, from flower gardens to massive murals on the walls. On the weekends, you can even find painters and other artists performing or selling their own pieces lined up on the street.

★Life★

As for daily life in London, we took a trip to London in early 2018, and the cost of living seems a bit more expensive than in Japan. According to a global consulting group's survey, the average salary in London in 2017 was £27,000. As of 3/2018, the exchange rate is £1=150JPY, making that about 4 million JPY. According to the same website, the average chef's salary was about £1,7000-2,700 per month.

Subway:Pricing is determined by zones There are 10 main subway lines. One-way trip costs: £4.9〜£8.5(about 735〜1,275JPY)

It will take about 16 minutes to arrive at the Heathrow Airport from the central area, which costs £32 (4,800JPY). How expensive!

 Treats:
  Chocolate Muffin £1.7 (255JPY)
  Oreos (20 pack) £2.5(375JPY)

 Food:
  Ramen (1 bowl) £7.9 (about 1,185JPY)
  Fish&Chips £8〜(about 1,200JPY)

 Rent:
Rent is very expensive, so most people have roommates Living alone, monthly rent is about £650〜£900 (about 97,500〜135,000JPY)

★Personal Impression★

When going to a Japanese restaurant, I was greeted in Japanese, but then only addressed in English following that. It was hard to get by without speaking English. Similarly to Asia, I was not treated differently as a foreigner. I think it's because London is already a city of diverse people. I believe that Asia has more opportunities for those who want to work with a degree of freedom.
