It also uses many of the tropical fruits that grow in the region. Some of the famous dishes are "Wenchang Chicken" and "Hele Crab," which are said to be appealing to the Japanese palate.

3. Striking Difference in Commodity Prices

Hainan is a special zone within China and is undergoing a lot of governmental changes. The main projects under development are geared towards tourism and international trade, which has lead to an increase in the costs of real estate as well as diversified the region. For example, a one-bedroom apartment in Sanya may cost 40,000-100,000JPY/month, but only costs 20,000-50,000JPY/month in Haikou. And the price of daily goods and food are about 50%-80% of those in Tokyo. However, if you venture further away from the tourist areas, it all becomes much cheaper.
